OASIS Workshop | Troubleshooting OASIS Provisioning Issues

- This hands-on workshop will provide you with information, tips, and hints, so you can better understand the OASIS Provisioning process and learn to troubleshoot potential issues. We will discuss the flow of a service order from its creation in the billing system, through auto-provisioning and back to the billing system. This discussion will include the different links in this chain: which links can break the chain, what and where to look in the chain for a problem, how to determine which link in the chain caused the problem and then, of course, possible resolutions. Together, we’ll review logs files to understand how to read them and what to look for to resolve the situation. We will also review the XML created by OMNIA for OASIS and cover the necessary OASIS tables used to drive the provisioning information, which will all be very beneficial in assisting you with troubleshooting any issues related to auto-provisioning.

Another new FST feature are the priority settings for workgroups which allows you to have a priority 1 primary tech and a priority 2 alternative tech in a workgroup to better manage high volume days. You will experiment with several different examples that are representative of the different options available within decision nodes and pay particular attention to syntax needed so that the decision nodes does exactly what you want it to do.
- Prerequisite: Attendance in Martin Group’s Training Institute OMNIA Intro to Service Order Flows and also the Advanced Service Order Flows training class, or a minimum of 1 year working knowledge with OMNIA Service Order Flows is suggested. Basic knowledge of SQL is also beneficial.

- The Service Order Flow workshop will entail a general overview of building a service order. You will learn about Functions, Nodes, and Perts and how they make up a service order, as well as how to use Dynamic questions in your orders. This hands-on workshop utilizes your knowledge of service order to build simple service orders to the more complex.
- Prerequisite: Attendee’s should have at least one year of experience working with service order processing and concepts. Participants should have previously attended Martin Group’s Training Institute VMS Customer Service Representative training.
