Martin Group offers service providers OASIS, a feature-rich OSS suite ranging from Facilities Management to Network Activation. Whether your OSS challenges are in the physical, logical, or virtual network layers, this suite offers the framework to automate provisioning processes in network assignment and activation. OASIS was designed with flexibility in mind to meet the future needs of service providers in the rapidly changing telecommunications industry.

OASIS delivers on the promise of flow-thru provisioning from assignment to activation. This empowers customer service representatives to activate network elements as they visit with the customer. The flow-thru activation process allows you to provision service without duplicate data entry required by a technician or service representative. Flexible communications protocols, including direct connections, modem (dial-up), telnet connections, HTML (Internet) along with customized XML or Command Line script writing, ensures compatibility with next generation systems and networks. By applying rules-based processes and incorporating network elements, as well as any third party systems providing outboard logic, the automation power becomes endless with OASIS.

The Activation module automatically updates switches and other peripherals directly from the service order with all pertinent customer, plant, equipment, and service order information. It operates from a user-defined schedule to check for new service order data. When the Activation module identifies new data, it automatically generates the switch commands to implement the change and communicates those commands to the appropriate switch.

Flexible engineering design and assignment is the cornerstone of the Facilities Management module. The Facilities Management module is an integrated plant solution capable of supporting both network design and assignment engineering tasks. It is easy to use with a Graphical User Interface (GUI) Windows™ environment that can be customized for specific personnel to incorporate unlimited user-defined fields. By integrating the Microsoft™ SQL Database to a telecom enhanced version of AutoCAD, Martin Group's Facilities Management solution increases accuracy and consolidates information tracked across multiple data repositories from the central office to the customer location on through to the mapping layer.

For easy trouble ticketing, technicians can use trace routing to look for patterns, review history, and identify components for dispatch in viewable end-to-end snapshots of the network architecture. You have the capability to trace a route from a physical network element to the logical layer of fiber systems including channelization and virtual pathing scenarios.

Auto assignment functionality is designed to assist personnel in selecting paths and it can be configured to completely automate the entire process using defined business rules. Rules intelligent enough to guide least-cost-provisioning at the element layer ensures the most effective use of your network assets. OASIS can also audit an element's current services to ensure your network is yielding the proper return to your company's bottom-line.
