Martin Group offers Trusted Third Party Services for facilities-based Local Exchange Carriers (LEC) and Internet Service Providers (ISP) to comply quickly and easily with the CALEA requirements imposed by the United States Congress and Federal Communications Commission (FCC). When a LEC/ISP customer receives a Lawful Intercept Request for a subscriber, Martin Group will provision the customer equipment to intercept the required content and caller identifying information and will then provide the intercepted information to the requesting Law Enforcement Agency (LEA).

Standard Service

• Installation of capture device(s) within required locations throughout the network.
• Upon Lawful Intercept Request, provisioning of equipment within the network to intercept appropriate data.
• Provide intercepted information to the LEA.
• Provide completed FCC Form 445 (CALEA Monitoring Report for Broadband and VoIP Services) to the LEC/ISP to submit to the FCC by the date required by the FCC.
• Conduct an annual test of the system on a fictitious target and provide LEC/ISP with a written test report including any recommended changes be completed. The fictitious target is a dedicated Internet connection set up by the LEC/ISP whose sole purpose is to allow the system to be periodically tested.
• Secured storage of intercepted information for future retrieval by the LEA.
